Academic Research Hub
GambleAware has begun an eight-month grant award process to establish the first Academic Research Hub in Great Britain specialising in gambling harms research.
GambleAware is awarding £4 million to a single academic institution as part of its commitment to build and diversify research capability in the gambling harms field in Great Britain.
The ambition is that the sizeable investment will have a transformative impact on bringing new disciplines into the gambling harms research field, whilst building the evidence base in Great Britain and significantly raising Britain’s international profile.
The Research Hub will determine its own research focus, taking a public health lens, and is expected to secure other funding sources to enable growth beyond the term of the grant award.
