Adding commitment devices to deposit limit tools led to lower uptake of the tools, but on average those who did set limits chose lower amounts. The interventions had no significant effect on amounts deposited.

The report found more research is needed on how to design effective deposit limit tools and encourage their use to reduce gambling-related harms.
