Higher PGSI scores are linked to the probability of poor mental health. People with severe gambling problems are more likely to experience suicidal thoughts and mental health disorders. Affected others also face negative mental health impacts from a loved one's gambling. Debt appears to be an important factor connecting gambling problems and poor mental health.
