GamCare provide information, advice and support across England and Scotland to anyone affected by gambling-related harm, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, via their helpline and digital services including Live Chat, WhatsApp & Facebook. They also provide peer support through their chatroom and forums.

GamCare also run other regional services that offer in-person, one-to-one and group support and treatment for gambling harms. The helpline can put you in touch with their regional support teams, or you can find them by entering your postcode in our service finder.

The Primary Care Gambling Service (PCGS) is a free confidential NHS service for adults over 18 who experience harms from gambling, as well as those who are affected by the gambling behaviour of a family member or friend.

The service offer a holistic, multidisciplinary team approach with mental health nurses, GPs, therapists, peer support and psychiatrists. They also provide support with physical, social and mental health problems.

The NHS All Wales Gambling Treatment Service and 24/7 Helpline are provided by Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board (BCUHB).

The Helpline is available to anyone affected by gambling harms and seeking immediate advice, emotional support and guidance. You can call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to talk about your gambling or someone else’s.

Alternatively, anyone aged over 18 who is seeking structures support and/or clinical treatment can access the All-Wales Gambling Treatment Service.

Betknowmore UK provide support for those experiencing gambling harms, including affected others, across Great Britain.

Their national services are New Beginnings and Peer Aid. New Beginnings is a women-only service. The service is designed and delivered by women with lived experience and offers a safe space for women. Peer Aid is a peer support service, delivered by Peer Supporters who have received City and Guilds assured training, and it provides one-to-one, group and personal development support.

All Betknowmore UK services combine lived experience and evidence-based therapeutic approaches, with both one-to-one and group support.

Betknowmore UK delivers prevention, early intervention, engagement and outreach activities to reach and support individuals, communities, partners and professionals.

The National Gambling Clinic is a free and confidential NHS service supporting people who are experiencing harm from gambling. They support young people aged 13 to 18 from anywhere in England, and adults 18 and over in London and the South East.

The National Gambling Clinic was the first NHS gambling treatment service to be established in the UK back in 2008. The team is made up of psychologists, therapists, nurses and psychiatrists and a peer support worker with lived experience of gambling harm.

Gamblers Anonymous is a fellowship of people who have joined together to do something about their own gambling problem and to help other gamblers do the same.

Adferiad Recovery are the national UK provider for people who need intensive help to tackle their gambling addiction, and who also suffer from other addictions, poor physical and mental health, and who have co-occurring conditions and other life challenges. They are commissioned to provide inpatient detox and residential rehabilitation services, for complex needs.

Gordon Moody is the UK’s leading charity dedicated to providing residential treatment and support for those most affected by gambling related harms, through recovery in a safe, supported environment.

Their specialist approach and experience since 1971 has allowed them to develop treatment interventions that are purely gambling focused, whilst also addressing the extremes of the associated behaviours typically experienced by people affected by gambling related harms. They are a force of healing and hope for individuals, families and communities affected by gambling-related harms.

EPIC Restart Foundation provide lived-experience led programmes that empower people to rebuild positive lives after gambling harm.

Their free programmes offer life changing experiences, recovery focussed workshops, one-to-one recovery coaching and the EPIC Restart Community, an online support network offering inspiration, learning and connection.

EPIC Restart help people to overcome isolation after gambling harm – restoring confidence and self-belief, improving health and well-being, with practical tools and coping mechanisms to support a sustainable recovery and move on after gambling harm.

Reframe Coaching provide online support for individuals who have suffered either directly or indirectly from a gambling addiction or gambling related harm.

They offer a unique blend of lived experience with recovery coaching to provide both one-to-one and group support.

They also offer a range of online courses and events to help support recovery, including a Life After Gambling programme, mindfulness practices, emotional freedom techniques, journaling and breath work.
